DELUCCA food review , squid ink pasta !

I've been desperate searching for a fine restaurant to have serve "squid ink pasta" because i have this obsession with black things .




so finally , my dad took me to DELUCCA during mothers' day & his birthday (;

The restaurant was "jazz" theme  , every Friday & Saturday there will be jazz song played without any charge.

the menu were printed on old records and were presented with a record cover , It was written on Italian language with a translation of English below.

just by looking at its description , makes me drools , and of course i ordered ..

 "marae nera" 

"squid ink tagliatelle with mixed seafood in a vodka cream sauce "

and my mum ordered a "PINK pasta" . 

"Pasta rosa"

"pink tagliatelle tossed in porcini mushroom , fresh basil & mascarpone cheese in a PINK vodka sauce"

while waiting for our orders to come ,

we were given complimentary breads with 3types of dippings  .

and soon , my marae nera were presented in front of me by a friendly waiter ,

It's BLACK in colour with White cream vodka sauce covered with mixed seafood on top.

the smell of seafood with a hint of saltiness really opens my appetite .

 the creamy vodka sauce lingers in my mouth with a hint of seafood sweetness ,

it makes you feel like you're in under in sea .

the tagliatelle is cooked beautifully , slippery and lightly .. it gives you a lighter taste of pasta.

it's like a work of an ART. i simply enjoy it to the maximum.

to make things more excited , the pasta here were made Fresh everyday .

 we ordered "zuppa di asparagi e pollo" which translated to ..

"clear chicken broth with asparagus , egg & Parmesan cheese"

but the waitress told us that it's un-available so we change to "zucchini e gorgonzola" because that's what she recommend.

it came to my table served with a few pieces of garlic bread , the soup was greenish colour.

Honestly , i was disappointed with it  , the soup was nor creamy nor clear.

so we asked for a exchange .

"cacciucco"

unique tuscany seafood soup"

it's a seafood stew on tomato base.

it taste heaven-like . the seafood & tomato really blended very well.

overall , FANTASTIC food ! :)

DEFINITELY will go back to have more satisfying freshly made pasta (:

TO MAKE THINGS MORE EXCITED .

i went to  "JUST HEAVENLY" in BSC with joyful & excitment.. ready to statisfied my stomach with some deliciously rich cake BUT all sold out .

with dissapoinment , we drove all the way back to curve/ikano to hunt for Cakes for mothers' day & my dad's birthday.

BUT ,

in the end , all cakes are sold out . the place where they display Cakes.. was clean & empty.
